Merridy Lithgow
Sports Podiatrist

Merridy is a passionate and friendly podiatrist, with experience in all areas of podiatry. She has a special interest in treating running related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, and has extensive knowledge of lower limb biomechanics.

Merridy has a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours (First Class) from the University of South Australia. She completed a Masters in Clinical Biomechanics at the University of Brighton in the United Kingdom and is currently undertaking a PhD at La Trobe University. Her PhD is focused on research into the lower limb biomechanics of people with midfoot osteoarthritis.

Over the past ten years Merridy has worked as a private podiatrist in Adelaide, Sydney and the UK. Through her studies and clinical work, she has gained experience in various lower limb conditions, strengthening and orthotic prescription. She also utilises foot and ankle mobilisations, dry needling and radial shockwave therapy as adjunct treatments used for many overuse muscle and tendon injuries.

In addition to private practice, Merridy has worked as a clinical educator at Central Queensland University (Sydney campus), where she lectured in Rheumatology and Advanced Anatomy and Podiatric Biomechanics. She was also the lead clinical supervisor for second, third and fourth year podiatry students at the university’s student clinic.

Merridy has always led an active lifestyle, having played competitive basketball in high school. Along with her love for snow sports, she regularly enjoys running, high intensity interval training, yoga and playing ice hockey.

Merridy strives to make a difference in her patients’ lives, from treating lower limb pain affecting daily life to optimising athletic performance. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry and patient care and looks forward to helping her patients achieve their goals.

Martin Poshoglian
Podiatrist

Martin is a Senior Podiatrist and director of Sydney CBDs premier podiatry practice Poshoglian Podiatry.
Poshoglian Podiatry was an early adopter of the Zebris Instrumneted Treadmill 10 years ago. PoshPod adopted this innovative approach to identify and treat a range of common lower limb injuries such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonopathy, sporting injuries and as a tool for walking gait analysis for pain and injury resolution.

Working with shockwave technology for the management of conditions such as plantar fasciopathy (plantar fasciitis), stress fractures, Achilles’ tendinopathy, forefoot pathologies such as neuromas and plantar plate tears, tibialis posterior tendinopathy and shin splints has been a point of difference within the expanded PoshPod treatment protocols. Always searching for new methodology to treat injuries, and coinciding orthotic therapy with many treatment options, PoshPod has been at the forefront of best practice of lower limb injuries within Australia.

Treating it all from those blisters from a new pair of shoes, losing the nails after a long duration walk or run, to effectively treating and rehabilitation of plantar fascia pain, Martin is brings a wealth of clinical experience for all your injuries and foot care needs!
