Zebris Podiatry Users Group - A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO FUNCTIONAL GAIT ANALYSIS INTEGRATING THE ZEBRIS INSTRUMENTED TREADMILL SYSTEM.
Zebris Podiatry Users Group
A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO FUNCTIONAL GAIT ANALYSIS INTEGRATING THE ZEBRIS INSTRUMENTED TREADMILL SYSTEM.
TRANSLATING RESEARCH INTO CLINICAL PODIATRY PRACTICE
This one day course is directed at the progressive podiatrist whom wants to gain a greater understanding of gait and the utilisation of the Zebris instrumented treadmill with the clinical setting.
This course will provide an exploration of gait biomechanics from ambulation to running and will provide individuals with a greater insight into the application of Zebris instrumented treadmill and its wide clinical applications.
Presenters:
Dr Stephen Urry PhD
After qualifying as a Podiatrist, Steve gained his PhD from the School of Engineering Science at Southampton University, focusing on sensor design and instrumentation for gait analysis, particularly plantar pressure measurement. He is passionate about biomechanics and his mission is to make quantitative analysis standard clinical practice.
Katrin Wegener
Katrin Wegener commenced her training to become a qualified orthopaedic shoemaker and orthotic specialist in Germany in 1994.
Katrin arrived in Australia in 2009 and qualified as an Australian Certified Pedorthist CM. She is involved in providing training as part of the Australian Pedorthic certification course program. She has participated on the certification panel for the Medical Grade Footwear Register. Katrin Wegener has published several professional articles for a German pedorthic and podiatry magazine. She presented at several national and international conferences and is the current President of the Pedorthic Association of Australia.
Katrin continues to reside in Australia whilst further developing her successful career with an established client base within the profession and is a long term and expert user of the Zebris instrumented treadmill.
